Keep in mind the best caregivers are in demand and rarely idle, so clients who can offer some flexibility around a caregiver's existing schedule have the most options. That's why we encourage clients to develop a small team of caregivers rather than relying on one person — familiar faces your loved one knows, with coverage that doesn't fall apart when someone is sick or away. After introductions, you and your caregivers manage the schedule together directly.
This is very common — and it's worth making sure everyone's expectations are aligned before care starts. Abby Services is RN owned and operated, and sometimes a family conversation with a trusted health professional is what brings everyone together — though ultimately, the decision belongs to the person receiving care. Seniors who insist they don't need help for themselves are often more open when it's framed differently: accepting a little support can put a worried son or daughter at ease.
