Abby Services can begin reviewing your request promptly, and our on-call team is available 24/7. The timing of a caregiver referral depends on the location, requested schedule, type of assistance needed, and caregiver availability.
Before the referral process can begin, the family must complete the Client Agreement and provide the required payment information. Both steps can be completed electronically, which helps the process move forward without an office visit.
Yes, caregiver interest can be influenced by the number of hours, consistency of the schedule, location, and type of assistance requested. With Abby Services' network of caregivers, we can often accommodate a wide variety of schedules and care needs. However, some requests—such as Sunday shifts or highly fragmented schedules—may present additional challenges due to caregiver availability and personal commitments. We'll discuss your family's needs and work to identify caregivers whose availability aligns with your request.
You may contact Abby Services before discharge, and we generally recommend doing so. Beginning the process early gives you time to review pricing and the Client Agreement, ask questions, and prepare for the next steps.
However, we cannot begin identifying caregivers for a tentative request. Once the discharge location and requested schedule are known, and the required agreement and payment information have been completed, we can begin sharing the referral opportunity with caregivers whose availability may align with your needs.
Abby Services is a Florida-licensed nurse registry regulated by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). We connect families with screened, self-employed caregivers who meet Florida’s applicable background screening, training, credentialing, and registration requirements.
Abby Services does not directly provide, supervise, manage, or direct the caregiver’s services.
Absolutely. This is where Abby Services adds real value. Finding dependable caregivers who satisfy Florida’s background screening, training, credentialing, and registration requirements can be difficult. Abby Services reviews the required documents and eligibility information before a caregiver may be referred, helping families connect with individuals who have completed the necessary screening and registration process.
Abby Services refers caregivers throughout Lee, Collier, and Charlotte Counties, including Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Naples, Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers, Babcock Ranch, Shell Point, Sanibel, and Fort Myers Beach.
