While there are many things the caregivers we work with can help with including bathing, dressing and giving shorts for women, ambulation, feeding, toileting, transfers, companionship, laundry, light housekeeping, assistance with bedding, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. It is obvious that the housekeeping was most important for this client who left some amazing feedback about their caregiver:
My caregiver did a good job helping my mother. She arrived on time and I reviewed my light housekeeping list with her. She stayed busy all morning getting the most important things done. Please know that my mother, wife, and sister were very pleased with the job she did.
One thing we encourage all clients to do to ensure their caregiver exceeds their expectations is to make clear what it is they want to be accomplished. Upon your initial meeting, our Abby Services representative will ask for instructions from the client and/or their family to share with a caregiver. These client directions can be added to our database to be shared with your caregiver in your own words, not ours. That way your caregiver is ready to meet your needs, on your terms.
